The deal
Wordasaurus is a free word-game site, run as a hobby by one person in Australia. There are no accounts and no fees: you just play. By playing, you agree to these terms.
Who can play
You must be 13 or older to play Wordasaurus. If you're under 18, make sure a parent or guardian is okay with you playing.
House rules
- Keep it friendly. No harassment, hate speech, slurs, or sexual content, whether in chat, clues, guesses, or nicknames.
- Play fair. No spam, no cheating, and no pretending to be another player (or the person running the site).
- Keep people safe. No threats, no sharing another person's private information, and nothing illegal, above all anything that harms or endangers a child.
- Don't attack the service. No hacking, flooding, or otherwise trying to break the game for everyone else.
Moderation
A filter screens what gets typed, and every player has a Report button. To keep rooms friendly we can remove content and kick or ban players at our reasonable discretion, by hand or with automated tools, by browser or by address, temporarily or permanently. If you think we got it wrong, send us a message.
Your words
What you type is yours. By playing, you let us run it through the content filter (which keeps a short-lived record when it acts), show it to the other players in your room, and keep a snapshot of recent room activity for review when something is reported. The details are on the privacy page.
No promises
Wordasaurus is currently free and provided as-is: it may break, reset mid-round, lose scores, or disappear entirely, at any time, without notice. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses arising from your use of it. Nothing here excludes rights that can't lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.
Changes
These terms may change as the game does; the current version always lives at this address. Australian law governs them.
